As with the previous years, HeNN-Sweden carried out the Deusi-Bhailo singing event in 2024 also. On November 1st and 2nd, two separate groups of singers, musicians, and dancers made door-to-door stops in several households in Stockholm, singing the famous “Bhailini Aain Aangana” and “Deusi” songs, besides a few more fun numbers. Not only were they received very warmly by the hosts, the visiting teams were also treated to special food/drinks; and when they left, they even got rewarded with some “dakshina“/donations. Of course, the teams wished (through “aashish” song) for the hosts’ good fortune and health wishes.
HeNN-Sweden warmly appreciates the love it receives every year when this event is announced. The hosts that enthusiastically insist that their homes are visited, the volunteers who want to be part of the singing teams, and those that still contribute financially are what brighten up the Deepawali / Tihar festive atmosphere. As communicated through individual thank you messages, we collected SEK 16700 this year.
