On August 26, 2026, severe flash floods hit Rasuwa / Trishuli and nearby areas in Nepal, causing tragic loss of life and widespread damage.
Many families have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and access to basic services. Roads, bridges, businesses, and other important infrastructure have also been badly damaged.
The rescue and relief work have been very challenging, and we thank the amazing dedication and cooperation shown by the people on the ground.
While we mourn the loss of lives and send our sincere condolences to the affected families, HeNN-Sweden would like to help in restoring some normalcy in the communities affected.
HeNN-Sweden (together with other chapters around the world) is coordinating with the HeNN Nepal volunteers to help them reach out to the affected families with food and any immediate help that may be needed. The onsite volunteers coordinate their efforts with the government initiatives and local authorities as appropriate.
